About Us
Our Purpose and Story
Vessels of Worship was born from a deep desire to know God more intimately and to help others encounter Him in meaningful, life‑giving ways. Founded in 1992 by Lisa Dent and her husband Ayron, the ministry began under the name Praise in Motion. Yet the heart of Vessels of Worship was planted in Lisa’s spirit long before the ministry officially took shape—a quiet calling that God continued to nurture over time. What began as a small step of obedience has grown into a vibrant, faith‑filled community devoted to praising God with our whole being.
At the core of Vessels of Worship is the belief that worship is more than words—it is an offering of the body, the heart, and the soul. Through dance, movement, and drama, we seek to express our love for God and to share the message of the Gospel in ways that speak beyond language. Our local classes provide a safe and welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities to worship freely, grow spiritually, and discover the joy of creative expression.
One of our most cherished programs is Dance Ability, a class designed specifically for adults with special needs. This ministry reflects our conviction that worship is for everyone and that every person has immeasurable value and a unique way to glorify God. In addition, we are honored to partner with women’s centers and to serve through outreach opportunities such as nursing homes, children’s homes, and community events—bringing encouragement, hope, and the love of Christ wherever we are invited.
Our calling extends beyond our local community into the nations. Over the years, Vessels of Worship has participated in international ministry in Honduras, Nicaragua, Italy, and South Africa. We also hold a special place in our hearts for a village in Malawi, Africa, where God has allowed us to build lasting relationships through conferences, Bible distribution, and ongoing support and encouragement. These global connections continually remind us that we are part of one body, united by faith and love across cultures and borders.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Vessels of Worship is grateful for the generosity of those who help make this ministry possible through prayer and tax‑deductible donations. Whether you are looking to support our mission, participate in our programs, or simply learn more about what God is doing through Vessels of Worship, we warmly invite you to connect with us and be part of this journey of faith, worship, and transformation.
